No doubt the world's view of marriage has changed dramatically. There are some religious organizations and entire states that now support gay marriages. In fact, marriage between same-sex partners is now legal in the state of California. Homosexuals have come out of the closet with a vengeance. Numerous children are being reared in homes with two Mommies, or two Daddies.

Although the majority of the world believes otherwise, "true" Christians still believe that marriage is an institution that is ordained by the Creator of this world. God created man in the likeness of His own image, and fashioned a woman to be his companion. The first marriage took place in the Garden of Eden, in the book of Genesis. Throughout the bible the wife is referenced as a woman, and the marriage union consists of man (male), and wife (female).

"And Adam called "his" wife's name Eve; because "she" was the mother of all living." Genesis 3:20

"And Adam knew Eve "his" wife; and "she" conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD." Genesis 4:1

And Cain knew "his" wife; and "she" conceived, and bare Enoch:
Genesis 4:17

Sadly, we live in a fallen world that is governed by an opposing force-evil, and a very real adversary, Satan. What God calls right, Satan calls wrong. He blinds the minds of those who are bent on having their own way, and seduces their spirits to behave in a way contrary to the bible.

The conscious of many has been "seared with a hot iron", but that does not change the fact that GOD IS, and that GOD CREATED male and female to represent His HOLY institution of marriage. It isn't a question of whether marriage "should" be recognized between a man and woman-IT IS SO! And has been from the beginning of creation.

So what happened? 1 Timothy 4:1 tells the story like it is:

"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;"

Our country was founded on biblical principles, and we engraved "In God We Trust" on or currency. But many have departed from the "faith," the basic principles of God and His Word. America's very foundation was built on belief and trust in God. "Seducing spirits" have lured many that are weak in the faith to listen to doctrines of devils that pervert the truth and accept the lies of Satan. "Women changed the natural use (sex with a male), into that which is against nature." And "likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recommence of their error which was meet" (Romans 1:26-27).

We must continue to uphold, and reaffirm the traditional definition of marriage for our children's sake. If we continue to forsake values that once made men out of boys, and women out of girls, what will our children have to hold onto? Male and female are God's true marriage partners.
