Sarah and Rodger
Sarah gazed out the window of the bus, watching all the cars and people going by. She was still getting use to new york. It was just so different from the small town she grew up in. Here everyone seemed to have somewhere to be or someone to meet. But she liked it here and she loved her job.
As the bus approched her stop she stood up when the driver braked harder than nessisary. Sarah quickly lost her balance and toppled into the lap of the man that had been sitting behind her.
"I'm so sorry", she apoligized, blushing slightly as she gazed into his saphire colored eyes.
"It's quite alright mam. It must be a new driver today", he replied gazeing at her thigh where her skirt had hiked up slightly.
She quickly got to her feet to get off of the bus and the man behind her got up as well. She started towards her office and noticed that he seemed to be following her. She stopped and turned around.
"Is there something I can help you with sir?" She asked with a angry look on her face.
"I'm sorry, its just that I didn't get your name."
"Oh, I'm Sarah. Sarah Jamison."
"And I my lady am Rodger. Rodger Sweet. And it is quite a pleasure to meet a beautiful woman like your self Miss Jamison."
She felt her cheeks flush and she smiled slightly.
"Why thank you so much Mr. Sweet, but I really must be going. I'm running a little late this morning."
"Well I will be more than happy to let you go on your way but not before I have the chance to ask you out on a date."
She gave him her office number and asked if he would like to join her for lunch that afternoon. They said thier goodbyes and she set off for her office.
That morning she couldn't seem to stay focused on her work all she could think about was Mr. Rodger sweet, with his amazing saphire eyes. She was a little more than excited when he called her with the name and adress of the resturant that he had chosen for lunch.
She rushed throught the last of her work, checked her hair and make up and rushed out of the office to meet Rodger. She found the resturant that Rodger had chosen. It was a small Italian resturant on a quiet side street. She liked it, it really seemed to remined her of being back home. As the waiter seated her out on the patio she saw Rodger starting up the street from the bus stop.
She had figured that he worked somewhere close to her but quickly noticed that the bus he had gotten off of came from the lower east side. And she worked in Manhatten.
"I'm so sorry for keeping you waiting, there was traffic, you know how this city is", he apoligized.
"That's quite alright mr. Sweet. You did travel a good way just to have lunch with me today. Why? If I might ask", she asked curiously.
"I would travel across the country to have lunch with someone as long as they are as beautiful as you", he answered.
