So you are entertaining at your house and you need something quick and easy to throw together. Maybe the guys are coming over to watch the big game or you are hosting the family's annual Barbeque and you need something to serve while the rest of the food is finishing. This seven-layer bean dip is just the thing.
It also comes in handy as an item at a potluck or to take to someone else's get together. It transports easily, takes little time to make, and is a favorite of almost anyone's.
Utensils:
13x9 cake pan
Large mixing bowl
Small mixing bowl
Wooden spoon
Spatula
Cutting board
Knife
Ingredients:
16 oz. can of beans (I normally use fat free refried beans)
16 oz. jar of salsa ( whatever hotness desired, I use medium)
16 oz. sour cream (use fat free if worried about calories and fat)
16 oz. guacamole
1 packet taco seasoning
Chives
Cilantro
Grated Cheese
Instructions:
1. In large mixing bowl, combine salsa and beans. Spread in bottom of cake pan.
2. In small bowl, mix sour cream and taco seasoning. Spread over beans and salsa.
3. Spread guacamole over sour cream layer.
4. Chop enough chives to lightly cover guacamole layer.
5. Chop desired amount of cilantro and sprinkle over chives.
6. Spread grated cheese over everything.
Serve with whatever variety of corn or potato chips you like the most or have several kinds on hand for guests to try. Now you are ready to sit back and bask in the complements you will receive.
