Nestled in the Ouachita Mountains, surrounded by three crystal clear lakes, Hot Springs, Arkansas is a nature enthusiast's dreamland. All who admire the beauty and wonder of nature will be enthralled with the serene landscape around this charming southern town. There are a multitude of sightseeing opportunities in this area that will captivate the senses. Here are a few stunning views to be sure not to miss.

Downtown Hot Springs: The town of Hot Springs itself features restored homes and businesses with Victorian architecture. A walk down Central Avenue through the historic downtown is a showcase of turn of the century charm. Be sure to visit The Tavern, Hot Springs oldest hotel, dating back to 1887. The Wax Museum is another building to not miss, originally a lavish gambling club. The Mountain Valley Water Building, built around 1910, has won awards for the historic preservation of its exquisite classical style. And of course do not miss the historic Fordyce Bathhouse, which now serves as the visitor center for Hot Springs. The elegant marble and stained glass glimpses the luxury of this bathhouse, in operation from 1915 to 1962.

Hot Springs Mountain Tower: Atop Hot Springs Mountain, this area landmark stands 216 feet in the air. There's an elevator service to the top, where you will enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the mountains, lakes, and town.

Hot Springs National Park hiking trails: A scenic hike along one of the many nature trails exhibits the natural beauty of the region, as well as the geologic wonders of the thermal springs that abound in the area. A few trails are quite rugged, but most are perfect for a pleasant, picturesque stroll that showcases over 40 thermal springs, ponds, creeks, waterfalls, and, of course, the striking beauty of the Ouachita Mountain landscape.

Garvan Woodland Gardens: Take a stroll through this 210 acre garden for breathtaking botanical landscapes along the shore of Lake Hamilton. There are over 2 miles of trails, with the main trail being 1.8 miles. For a fee, a golf cart with driver can be rented by those who might have trouble walking the trail. There is a picnic area if you'd like to bring a lunch, or an outdoor caf that offers sandwiches, hot dogs, and salads. The Klipsch Amphitheater hosts concerts, theater, and children's plays. The magnificent stone and glass Anthony Chapel offers stunning views of the lake and surrounding forest through the 57 foot floor to ceiling windows.
