Here we are just you and me.
No place would I rather be.
For when I am with you all my cares
just disappear.
I am safe. I am happy.
To me you are so dear.
The moments we share are few and far between.
And so much I long to say to you is often
left unspoken.
Like the way I dream of telling you I wish I was
the only one.
Or how much that you mean to me but I know
from such you'd run.
Your heart was mangled so many years ago.
By love that ended way to soon and without a last goodbye.
At the hands of a wreckless driver on that 12th day of July.
So I just keep on hoping and praying that one day you will finally let go.
And my thoughts won't be unspoken and our love will finally grow.
