The only thing worth having
on this planet, in this life
Is love, which last forever
dulling pain, mending strife
Making enemy into friend
and friend into a lover
A despot more humane
his charity uncover
On love I simply say
if you have it, best hold on
for there may arise a day
when that love will be far gone
