Why can't I love myself? Why don't I feel loved? Why can't people love me? These are the questions we sometimes ask ourselves. But, have we ever stopped even for one second to think about what love is or what it really means to us. Some people don't believe that true love is our true nature or that it is even possible. Others believe they are too old to find true love or that their looks or materials possessions are what will attract the perfect love. We become so preoccupied with everything outside of us that we seldom intend to still our minds and listen to the silence where all wisdom resides. It is during that moment of peace that we can begin to learn to unpack the suitcase of wonder the father of mankind so lovingly prepared and placed in the hearts of each and every one of his children. It is there where you'll find one of the most precious gifts of life, love.
But what is love? How do I love? The road to love begins with you and to understand love you must first show the capacity to be alone and prove to yourself that you can stand on your own two feet. You are to develop strength of such magnitude that if it were just you alone left in the world you would still go on living, not alone, but relying on the power that gave you life and sustains you. That is your first true love. Only when you discover that you can survive and be happy on your own without having to rely on anyone but yourself and your inner power are you able to love another human being without selfishness, or condition. You will no longer become attracted to someone's looks, status or material possessions. You will be seeking a common spiritual bond that transcends the physical; a bond that no person or situation can ever break. And this is not settling, we are dealing with a supreme intelligence that always delivers the perfect answer, so you can be sure that you will both be everything you ever desired in a partner. But that is not what will keep you together. All physical and material things are transient, and only the spirit, the soul is never changing. You will not desire to make your partner over, because you know he or she already Is. No matter the situation or difficulty you will overcome it, because you will know to never look for flaws in your partner, never criticize him or her or talk about your relationship with anyone but yourselves. You both share a common understanding without strain or effort. It is understood that you are the most precious gift given to each other. When
