Let me tell you about a girl I know
She went out about an hour ago
To get away from the life she's in
She's going to do the ultimate sin
She's tired of all of the abuse
She's tired of feeling so worthless and used
No pills, so she got daddy's gun
Loads the barrel and says goodbye to her son
Writes a letter and leaves it unsigned
Terrified of what she's leaving behind
She heads out to an old motel
Goes to the room that she knows so well
Under furnished room number 205
And this will be the night she dies
She takes off her wedding ring
The gold band is such a meaningless thing
He caused all this, and that's what she thinks
She opens the bottle and takes a few drinks
This will be painless she says to herself
This will help me and everyone else
She cocks the gun, and she shuts the blinds
The gun's in her mouth as she says goodbye
She pulls the trigger and her life is done
The war in her body is over, the darkness won
She lay cold and silent, her blood and eyes glistened
She would have been alive if someone had listened
She told people what she was going to do
But none of them thought it was true
Let this be a warning to all that read
Threats like these should be taken seriously
