Eternal Dance.
A leaf leaves
the exulted perch
drops gently
holding a rhythm
with the wind
the scented air
lights dark and fair
Down
meeting places met before
in reverse
and faster
lighter than sound
Down
to the pregnant silence
to rest
on dark-brown fertility.
A gift is more than it seems.
