Poetry: Romantic pain

Torture

My stomach tightens and turns
My heart bleeds and burns
They way he hugs and holds your hand
Your touches and teases for this man
Tries my pride, patience, and trust
Decaying my love to trivial dust
Every time you embrace the face
Of former desire and current disgrace
I drown in the dangerous desire
To fuel the flames of his funeral pyre
I hear of him in heated discourse
And fear the feeling of your remorse
Somber sorrow is present when you speak
Of regret and revenge that renders me weak
His want and will to take away
My reason and right to pray
And the way you say his name
Unburies burdens bringing me pain
So it seems to spite me so endlessly
Justly drawing me deeper into jealousy
I wait in tainted wonder for the day
You seek his side and no longer stay
You will be gone and I will have my hate
Forever the fool felled by fate
