When the Candle Flickers
Dearest one, she whose vessel gave way to his being,
honest one whose heart lies shadowed in suffering,
she whose burden to bring him up uncompromised and fair,
giving onto him the blessing of her eternal care.
A slivered smile draws a tear as she starts to slip away,
opening his mouth unable to find the words to say,
so much she has done to make him what he is today,
both a man and a friend watching life in disarray.
Fallen from the path still the compass of his heart is true,
a emotional hurricane of pain he has been through,
enduring the cruelty of a destiny not his to take,
trembling from the fear of a reality he must comtemplate.
Good times long ago under the sun's blinding glow,
unable to see where the path would surely go,
the consequences grow, into something he prayed to never know,
reaping the seeds he'd never thought he sow.
Purest one, whose child became a friend,
the backbone of honesty and compassion that draws to an end,
a shrouded face behind the flicker of a candle flame,
fading like a sigh of sorrows from the shame.
Raising a soul strong and sure despite choices he couldn't face,
someone righteous whose path was lined with detours and mistakes,
but inside he shines on, being there for the one in need,
believing that its never too late to do a good deed.
His devotion is seen a pedestal wound by vines of will,
in the final moments as time stands silent and still,
for her forgiveness comes from some place deeper within,
still seeing the child she loves underneath the stains of sin.
From a friends point of view, not a hardened stare of society,
appriecating all the things none of them could ever see,
the times shared can not compare or contrast the damage done,
to me you are a friend, to her you are a son.
These condolences come from years experienced and memeories made,
remembering every day so that these thoughts will never fade,
the compassion of two souls is what makes us human and alive,
with that we know that if she goes her memory will never die.
Burdened one, the one who made my friend who he is,
the man whose jaded heart no one can dismiss,
please help him see through the struggle and strife,
please believe and never give up on life.
One day things may change, in my dearest prayers they do,
as a friend doing anything to help you through,
for knowing what you face, a future dark and bleak,
when the candle flickers, this friendship flame is ours to keep.

What is a mother?
Well, some might say she is a caregiver, a protector
Yet, that does not encompass all
You could say she's

Mother, a reflection of her soul.
Standing tall even though the world towers above her.
Beautiful creature, wonderful sister
A
Sunlight on brown hair
the beauty of her stare
the way she would just sit with me
how wonderful her laughter of glee
I love
