Without question, the lure of the great outdoors is what makes Sun Valley, Idaho and its surrounding areas remarkable. It won't be easy but based on the length of the trip you're taking to the area, you'll want to narrow down your list of outdoor activities to those that best match your interest and needs. All trips, outfitters and guides are different, however take a look at the list of the variety of outdoor activities and sports you can enjoy while visiting the area:

How much time you allot to the water is up to you take a trip from either a few hours to several days. While on the water you'll discover the beautiful scenery, experience many types of whitewater and likely see wildlife in their natural setting.

Be ready for guides on these trips to share tales with you about the Lewis and Clark adventures, as well as local plants and animals. Don't want to mount the horse? Try a wagon ride through the landscape and breathe in the fresh mountain air.

Fly fishing is great around the entire state, but you'll find the best waters in Kelly Creek, the Teton River and the South Forks of the Snake and Boise Rivers.
