Nowhere Junction
I stand here in the middle of this mess that's been made
surrounded by your chains of disfunction.
And I think to myself this must be Nowhere Junction.
Scattered this and that just lying everywhere...
In dire need of some order, attention, and someone who cares.
And you plead with me to help you find a better way.
With tears in your eyes you abandon the lies you once shared and embraced as a clever desquise.
No longer playing on my sympathy.
Still before me stands a stranger...no longer the person I once knew you to be.
And in my presence you boldy place your lips to your demon made of glass.
I then reflect back to another place in time before this all came to pass.
I think of the days of not so long ago.
You! Wonderful you!
Marvelous you!
You at your best.
I think of the moments you were put to the test.
I remember you in all your shining glory.
I know this tale. I know the whole story.
And I think to myself this must be Nowhere Junction.
And I am momentairily devestated at the free reign of madness at hand.
And I wander ahead to thoughts of a different time at hand.
Before my eyes a vision. Your approaching future in a flash.
I see the burning. I see you finally crash.
Head on collision into nothing and nothing the only something left to lose.
For madness afflicts free will and mindful ability to choose.
There are so many flowers, people, friends, and loved ones...
Yes everyone is gathered there.
Passing by your shrine to view you in your shroud.
Many weep in silence.
Some release grief that's painfully loud.
Once more to the eyes you are beautiful my friend.
No trace of ugly. You have made it around the bend
I can see just over yonder the madness subside.
No longer are you in bondage. No more pain, suffering, or strife.
You've left Nowhere Junction.
One wrong turn led to the master that transformed your whole life.
I can see you there at the crossroad of Should I Stay or Should I Go?
And your heart is so weary. You are so heavy laden and your resistance much too low.
Before not a sign to warn you it was just a dead end.
You became lost amongst the monsters that you thought were your friends.
But I shall not be so mournful as the others may be.
I'm there.
I weep.
And I hear a faint whisper...I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
I am so thankful that you have said farewell to madness.
I'm singing Amazing Grace with joy and gladness.
Yes of course I'll miss you...the you I once knew you to be.
But only in this passing will you escape your bars of bone.
You shall take flight from Nowhere Junction...and a free spirit you shall be.

casting shadows over the world,
how could the end come with such beauty?
