A guy's take on women's sexuality

Men have always been the ruler by which society measures a woman's sexuality. If a woman can turn heads she is "hot" if she can have men eating out of her hand she is the equivilant to a Ferarri, always dreamed of having one but will never be able to afford it. So it is safe to say that the average woman has something going for her in the minds of men. How much sexuality is acceptable (to men) is the question. Men still view women's sexuality as something that is intended for them only. It's a way to sell advertisements, get promotions, and discounts at stores, but if she does not use this for any of these things she is just a prude.

A woman's sexuality is considered a weapon to most men. It should be accessible yet easily concealed. It's okay to be free-loving when you are together at home, but be able to don an attitude of innocence in front of others. Women who are comfortable with their sexuality are deemed easier to get along with but many men don't want their woman to be too easy to get along with once they are serious about her.

In current times many women have had a number of sexual partners by the age of 30. They may have had 3, they may have had 15, but very few have had 1 or under and when it comes to settling down, there is a double standard for women. Many guys at some point during a relationship will discloses his ideal wife. Usually it begins with a "virgin" and ends with the idea that even though a man is out on the town every night prowling for partners, when it's time to settle down the purest of women will arrive to cater to his every need. No man wants to feel intimidated and weather she knows it or not, having multiple partners, especially if she has had more than him, makes him feel that way. It's a blow to the ego even if it's subconscious. If he thinks his girlfriend has been with many other men and has done things he believed she'd only do with or for him, he begins to feel threatened.

Of course this is not all men but it signifies a stigma in our society. Women have come a long way with their sexuality and professional advancements but it comes with a price. There are still some problems as far as men are concerned when it comes to free love and a woman he is serious about. It's great to have a girl to have fun with, but when it's time to be serious, there has to be a line between fun girls and wife-types. This is not to say that a man will be completely enamored by a woman that makes him wait for sex and be completely devoted to her.
