To Scott's Family, my prayer is that God keeps you and strengthen you. A few years ago, I did not lose my brother, but he also had a terrible ihra accident. 75% of his body was severly burned, but God spared his life and to that I am blessed. when he had his accident, all of the ihra and nhra races sent gifts, flowers, cards and money and I thank each and everyone of them. Never got a chance to meet Scott personally, but loved to see him race. I can tell you that he will truly be missed, on and off the track. I pray for the entire family and friends. Always remember that God is the head of each of our lives and without Him we can do nothing, we are nothing. Keep you hand and faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ and He will direct your path. Always trust, never cease to believe, never cease from praying. Scott is in better hands than we could ever be in. I know that you wish you could turn back the hands of time to bring him back, or do something different or even just to give him a hug before he entered into that car, but know that he would have wanted you to go on with your life just as if he was still here. Know that he is in the hands of the Lord now. We will all miss him and wish to see him go down that track just one more time. When my brother was in that accident, he spent 28 days in icu and 31 days in a hospital bed, I know that there were days when I went before the Lord in prayer each and every minute of the day, I stayed on my face before the Lord and that is what you will have to do. He is you safety net and will always be there for you, just take it to the Lord in prayer. Family know that Scott only wants the best for you, he would want you to be happy with your life, just as it is. Now that he is not here go on in faith and keep his dream alive. Know that I believe that if Scott had to go any other way he would have chose the way that he loved and that is driving that car. Scott knew what chances he would be taking each and every time that he staged up, waiting on that tree to turn green. Each and every time I shifted a gear, each and every time he crossed that finish line, each and every time he pulled that parachute, that was the love of his life besides his wife and kids. We never know when, where, the day nor the hour, but we all will have to cross that finish line, may not be in the way Scott did, but we will have to finish the race. Keep the faith, and give God the glory in all that you do. Honor the Lord, with the love that Scott had, for we all know that Scott Kalitta is in that NHRA in the sky. WE LOVE YOU SCOTT KALITTA AND YOU ARE GOING TO TRULY BE MISSED, not just by family, and friends, but by people that watched you from the stands, that watched you from their television set.
