Questioning if work ethics are deteriorating in America

For nearly two hundred and thirty-three years American's have worked hard to preserve the civil liberties associated to living in a democratic Western Civilization. Proudly, we have accomplished a great deal in a short period of history, leading us to become one of the giants of our present time.

However, when entertaining the thought of working hard -vs- using our intelligence, we have indeed become more reliant on delegating, and outsourcing jobs, rather than getting it done the old fashioned way. And I choose to believe major corporations, and some American's prefer it that way.

Unlike the 1800' & 1900's we now live in a different evolutionary period, and as the cogs on the wheels continue to turn, the big clock is producing advancements in every area of our lives. From the prior genius works of Alexander Graham Bell's invention of the telephone in 1876, to the patented electronic television by Philo Farnsworth 1927 (which was later sold to RCA), we have come to use, and rely upon a multitude of resources today which spawned from the works of the intelligent minds of our past.

Personally, I find it amazing the technological and industrial advancements being utilized today, in conjunction with breakthroughs we've made to produce everything from artificial hearts, computer technologies, right on down to robotic assembly lines, as these are mild examples of today's masterful intelligence. All in which derived from a person or persons disciplined work ethics, and determination to create something for the masses, both by virtue of appeal, and ease of lifestyle.

However, when combining today's reliance on such technological advancements, and the ever increasing demands of eager consumers, we have turned to mass production, avoiding, and evading the extensive labor costs. where ever, and whenever possible. Inarguably, these are signs of the times, and we've become so dependent on technologies that we've acclimated ourselves, and our youth, to portray hard work as a sign of weakness, or lack of intelligence to a degree on behalf of the working class American's who are subjected to endure, and survive, by means of labor and hard work.

After all, as a tradesman in various forms of construction, and engineering projects, I personally have encouraged my children to attend college, in hope that they'd use their brain more, and use less braun when entering the work force. Naturally, any good parent wants their children to exceed or surpass their accomplishments in life,
