In what universe is a college degree necessary for civilization? and in what universe is a college degree a determinant of a man's success?Civilization has always been the ability of a group of people to live in harmony whilst being able to use or manage their resources effectively for their needs. I don't see how a college degree particularly makes that the case.I doubt that when the Egyptian and Kushite Empires were leading the world as super powers, there was any such thing as a college education or degree. Some "remote" civilizations are in many ways superior to the so called advanced civilizations we know of today. These civilizations (many of which are in Africa or third world continents) actually live in harmony, suffer less from diseases, never run out of food for their feeding, do not need clothes etc in comparison to advanced counntries where there is a constant battle with some troubling disease, constant issues with wars, overuse of personal resources through bad management and sometimes corruption, exhorbitant increases in prices making commodities scarce for its people, over crowding etc. Yet this countries have the most educated people with "College and University degrees".

This traditionalist mindset has been the bane of most people's success infact contrary to what many people will try to make one believe. It is fact that much of a person's potential is limited the minute some formal education is undertaken particularly if it is obtaining a college degree for the sake of obtaining one. From what I know about a normal distribution, most people will be average in anything and only few people will be exceptionally good at anything. This means that if a hundred people chase a medical degree only about 4% will be very successful at it. The remaining 96% or thereabout will be average medical personnels who will go through life never exceeding their peak of what is obtainable from the profession. Now the sad thing is, amidst all those years of trying to perfect the art, there is a strong neglect of the unique quality that makes an individual special. It may have been that the character who has chased a medical degree for so long actually has an amazing voice. However, because that person has decided to play safe and join the masses of people who will never surpass the cut off that nature has preset, we will never know if a musical career will have been more successful.I blame this traditionalist views on the experience of most parents and the society
