Bitter is the taste in my mouth
when the facts are obvious
but no one shouts them out.
If I breathed in the scent of firewood,
bitter also would be my sense of smell
for a time. It would be no good.
And when my feelings start to wane
and wane they surely will,
I'll find a heart is still the same.
