CHAPTER FIVE PART ONE
Laurie was in her current favourite place , she was tucked up in bed, a pile of books and magazines on one side of her double bed, a huge Winnie the Pooh mug full of tea, a Tigger mug full of coffee, an ashtray, her cigs and the remote for the portable.
What else did she need.?
She would have favoured a certain Accident and Emergency Consultant alongside herif she moved the various books and magazines she would quickly find enough room for him alongside her.
She was thinking, this was a perpetual habit, not your usual thinking but more plotting, planning and scheming.
Laurie was good at plotting. Ok so she had produced some harrowing results in the past, but if she really wanted something, or someone, she would keep plotting until she could get it..
She felt she owed this to herself and it gave her a personal challenge to brighten up her world.
It had sort of crept up on her, a form of self preservation coupled with a self protection mechanism..
Get the bastards before they get you!
She wasn't going to be had' again.
No, she was in control of herself and her life and that was the way it was going to stay.
So her planning and plotting never ceased, that was what, kept her going in life.

Hurriedly Laurie got up out of bed and threw on an old pair of jeans and a sweat shirt, which were lying on the floor beside her bed. She kept her pyjamas on underneath, why bother getting dressed properly when she would return to bed when she got home?
Laurie headed out in the midnight air, hopped in the car and headed
for the 24 hour superstore..
It wasn't unusual for her to go there at 2 or 3 am, especially if she had worked twilight shift and was on her way home in the middle of the night. Much easier to shop at that time of the night she thought without
so many customers in store!
She acknowledged the security guard on the door and went straight to the electrical area of the store, CD's DVD's now where would she find what she needed.
Ah yes, seconds later she had it in her hand , 4.99 later, 20 cigs, a bottle of red wine, and a top up of 10 at the till and she had herself a brand new mobile phone sim card
Returning home to bed Laurie started
