Hot Springs Arkansas is a wonderful place to vacation, with a little bit of something for everyone. Right off the bat if you have children or if you're just a child at heart, you have to visit Magic Spring Theme Park and Crystal Falls Water Park or if that is too much then try out the Mid-America Science Museum. Your kids will have a ball playing with the hands on experiments they have there. I myself loved playing with the electrical balls, you know the ones that make your hair stand up and when someone comes by you really don't like you just reach out and touch them.

Also, if your not afraid of heights take the kids to the mountain top observation tower or to visit the National Park Aquarium. If this still is not what you're after then it must be the horse races at Oaklawn Racetrack, they have really neat things for the kids to do and you get to bet on your favorite horse. Hey, I'm still going because I have yet to find the right horse to make my fortune with and I know that horse is out there.

Yes, and while your out and about the Downtown area be sure and check out their classic hotels, Victorian architecture, world class art studios and the famous Bathhouse Row. The best thing I have found about Hot Springs is that everything is just a short walk or drive away, and you have some interesting transportation options to consider. Park the car and grab a trolley or take a horse drawn carriage tour of historic Bathhouse Row and learn the secrets of our colorful past.

After this fun day you need to visit the spas. There is nothing better than sitting in a hot tub of water, getting out of this tub looking like a lobster, lay on a bed and have a person beat and squeeze your muscles until you cry uncle. No, really after a hard day of play and walking around Hot Springs Historical Downtown you can't beat a hot bath and a massage.

Hot Springs has just about anything you may be looking for. They even have rock shops. Now I know your asking why anyone would want to buy a rock. Well these are not just any rocks; you can find a crystal rock in just about any color, shape or size. I make sure when I'm in town to pick up a few, my water garden is the most colorful one around.

Now, if you're a night person then Hot Springs is still the town for you. They have night clubs, live music, family entertainment, international cuisine, river boat dining, and romantic walks along the Promenade. I can see it now the two of you arm in arm, talking softly as you walk along with the six kids screaming running and yelling behind you.

Well maybe you're still not interested in all that, your more of an outdoor person. Then guess what Hot Springs has two of the five crystal clear mountain lakes found in Arkansas they are Hamilton and Ouachita. You have your choice of fishing (which is my love), boating, swimming, scuba-diving, horseback riding, golfing and so much more. You also have your choice of lodging; from camp sites and family cabins to luxury resorts.

So if I've wet your whistle for a little adventure come give Hot Springs Arkansas a try. You'll not regret it and I bet you make plans to visit it again and again.
