Best Areas to Stay In and Around Sun Valley, Idaho

Sun Valley is a resort community in Blaine County, located in central Idaho. It is popular for skiing, hiking, trails, ice skating and even golf. You don't even need to do all of those things though, to have fun at the resort. So if you are looking for some fun in the Sun (Valley), you're heading in the right direction! Don't forget there is even more recreation waiting for you in Ketchum, Idaho, which is just a hike, ski and a FORE! away from Sun Valley.

Whether you are flying in or driving, it is always easy to get around Sun Valley. If you are flying in, a bus can take you from the airport into town. If you've decided to drive, it is only about 82 miles north on Highway 75 coming from Twin Falls. You won't need a car if you are staying within the resort area. There is a bus system between Sun Valley and Ketchum that runs frequently. So if getting there is half the battle, this one is all downhill.

If you are heading to Sun Valley you're probably not heading there alone, not with activities like skiing and hiking. Everyone knows it is much more fun when you have someone to play with! So bring some friends or bring the family and don't worry because there are plenty of places where you can rent a mountainside condo or house so everyone has the room to relax and get away from it all after a day filled with activity. Renting a condo or house is not only more efficient when you're in a group and provides a place away from the hustle and bustle, but who wants to enjoy the mountainside views alone? There are many amazing places to rent in areas with spectacular views. This works as a romantic getaway as well; all the privacy and feel of your own home, with a romantic view of the Sawtooth Mountains.

Not interested in getting away from the hustle and bustle? Then why not rent a condo or apartment in the middle of it all? You can get some rest and relaxation all in the same place and have access to some fun right outside your door. For those of you who can't seem to let the party end, there are always rentals closer to the Sun Valley ski resort.

If you are looking for something other than outdoor recreational activities, you'll never be bored in Sun Valley (or Ketchum!) there are many art galleries in both areas, as well as boutiques and great little shops. There is a wide variety of restaurants, diners and eateries, so there is always something different to choose from. So whether you're thinking of staying out and away from it all or amidst the village and resort, you are bound to have fun. It is a great place to get away no matter what your tastes.
