Diet and its consequences

Firstly let me give you my oppinion of dieting them i will tell you my story.

Slimfast shakes and other milk shakes designed to replace meals are very expensive, yes they are going to help you to loose the weight but to keep the weight off you will have to drink these for the rest of your life are you willing to do that, no so dont bother with them then.

Slimming tablets, not only can these have an effect on your bodys health and not in a good way they will also need to be taken for the rest of your life if you intend to keep the weight off.

Yo yo dieting has to be just as bad, you go on a diet for a couple of weeks, loose the weight you wanted to or some of it then begin eating normally and put the weight streight back on, useless idea.

Right then are you all paying attention, this is how it is done. Start counting the calories, allow your self 500 calories per meal for 4 meals a day, yes these meals are going to be smaller than you are used to but if you can balance your calories right then you can have snacks, you must not exceed 2000 calories a day, what you dont consume on meals you can have in snacks but be sensible, having cereal, rice, chicken and other high fiber or energy foods is a necessity to have the energy to get through a day without feeling like you are the walking dead.

Almost all food contains calories but dieting doesnt mean missing out.

For breakfast you could have an apple which is only 25 calories, 50g of bran flakes which is 320 calories with skimmed milk and black coffee no sugar which is 30 calories.
GRAND TOTAL OF 375 calorie leaving you 1625 calories for the rest of the day.

lunch could be potatoes, carrots cauliflower, sprouts and chicken.This will only be 180 calories if you have 50g of each item.
GRAND TOTAL SO FAR TODAY IS 555 CALORIES LEAVING YOU 1445 CALORIES FOR TEA AND SNACKS.

With that amount of calories left over you can pritty much have what ever you want for tea and a pudding.

Counting the calories and eating healthily is the way to go to maintain your weight and stop it rising but to begin to loose the weight you are going to have to up the amount of time you exercise, this doesnt have to be strenuous, im not sending you off to the gym to pump kilos of iron or anything but just begin with a little more walking, leave the car at home and walk more, 15 minutes of gentle walking burns 55 calories.

You would not believe the amount of calories you can burn just doing the average day to day things, iroing for 15 minutes burns 60 calories,
