Poetry: On love

Render yourself to the earth, moon and sky,
Don't be too proud, when things go awry,
Keep your heart pure, and open your mind,
Keep moving forward, or you'll be left behind.

Hold on to the things, that you truly love,
For they really do come, from the heavens above,
Keep in your soul, what helps you stay alive,
And you will do fine, and you will survive.

The world is a hard place, it's stony and bleak,
Unless you can find, the love that you seek,
And if you manage to, make sure that it's true,
And your skies will always be a clear blue.

But if it isn't, and your heart is torn in two,
Don't worry, 'cause time heals, you can start anew,
You can't let the light in your heart, be dampened by rain,
'Cause then you're in trouble, 'cause you can't stand the pain.

There may be a time, where there's a dark, drery storm,
Where the days may seem endless and you'll never feel warm,
Where the feeble light around you, casts shadows of fear,
Where you wish you had the love that you once held so dear.

So choose your path wisely, make sure your lover's fair,
'Cause if you are blinded, it takes time to repair,
Be aware of other people, take time to give trust,
And you will realize that the world isn't that unjust.
