You are unique. So embrace that and grab life with both hands! Stop wasting time pondering the what if's and maybe's and enyoy the here and the now, if you want to eat toast in bed getting crumbs all over the duvet, then do it!

Wake up at the crack of noon at the weekend, why not? Spend days seriously damaging your credit card balance with the girls? Absolutely. Spa treatments? Yes please! A waste of money? Hell no! Ladies need to indulge without feeling guilty. After all work hard, earn the cash, spend the dough!

Dancing till dawn. Attending a whirlwind of parties. Frolicking at festivals and being cute at concerts. Why wouldn't you be happy? Cooking what you want to eat. Hitting the gym because it makes you feel good. Reading a book or magazine in the bath. Champagne just for the hell of it! Celebrate being you!

Painting your nails a scorching hot pink colour. Wearing slouchy clothes and eating ice cream from the tub. Owning endless pairs of shoes. Developing a hobby and expanding your social network.

Having plenty of choices, having sole ownership of the remote control. Favourite episodes of Scrubs and reality t.v. programmes every time you switch on the set, a marathon of chick flicks on a Sunday afternoon. It amuses me when people assume that single people are not happy. Why? It means that being selfish and doing what you want is the norm as you dont have to consider people, unless, of course, you want to!

Picnics with friends. Listening to your kind of music, bring on the boy bands! Choosing which car to drive that represents YOU. Hey why stop there, if you want to ride a motorbike then go for it!

The most common used word in the dictionary is "I" not "WE" Singledom is evolving into designer, follow your dreams and aspirations and put yourself first.

I know many, many people that have stayed in a relationship far too long just because they are afraid to be alone. Shameful. As soon as you acknowledge how fabulous you are and get to know one self, then love with follow in spades.

Enjoy being amazing, adopt a positive attitude and become relaxed with your own company. Be your own cheerleader, and squash that inner critic.
