How to change your toddler's clothes without a tantrum

Everyone has been there! Trying to change your toddlers clothes when they don't think clothes are nessasary, I know I've been there! And my mum has been there! and My mum's mum has been there! It's just one of those problems that come with raising children, but that doesn't mean you have to live with it! There are things you can do!
I'm a single mum, to one very fiesty two and a half year old little girl, who thinks that she can't dance with clothes on! This became a problem when at a birthday party we attended recently, where they had a dancing compatition as one of the festivities! I suddenly found myself begging my toddler to at least keep her nappy on, it didn't help that most of the party goers thought it was, "just the funniest thing!"

These are the strategies I like to use to get clothes on my toddler;

-TANTRUMS, they can be stressful but they don't have to be! If your toddler is chucking a tantrum, let them go! But that doesn't mean you have to give in to thier demands! Attention, is the key here, toddlers learn very quickly that good or bad attention is still Atention! If you ignore it, they will stop doing it! Just keep in mind that giving in is not the key!

-PERSONALITY, everybody young and old have one, so get to know your toddler! What are thier favorite colours? Characters? Movies? ETC? There is clothes out there that your child will love wearing! Dora the Explorer is a great example, there are toddlers everywhere going crazy about Dora merchandise. my daughter likes purple, anything purple she will wear.
Also promoting the clothes helps. Get excited about a peice of clothing, make seem special!

-FUN AND GAMES, make light of hard work! Play games, blow rasberries on thier bellie, make funny sounds, just make it fun! Make it time for Mum and Bub to spend together, not just another chore! Talk to them, laugh with them, be silly, but make it part of getting dressed!
For example, my daughter and I like to play a game where I peak through the hole for the head of her jumper or T shirt, then suddlenly I jump forward and put it on her, saying 'I caught you!' It's very simple but she laughs every time I do it, and after a while she even started waiting for it to happen!

-MIRROR, MIRROR, on the wall who is the cutest toddler of all? Everybody wonts to know they are special, show them themselves in the mirror, make them feel like they look good, and that you are proud of them! My daughter always swirls around like a princes when she puts on something she likes!

I haven't got a lot of experience, but these are what works for me, try them! They just might work for you too!
