Do-it-yourself Fourth of July decorations

Do it yourself Fourth of July decorations can liven up your home, both inside and out, and help you to enjoy the organized festivities all the more. If you are having a party for the Independence Day festivities, you can make your home out to be a patriotic destination. If you are heading out to someone else's outdoor or indoor party, or to the outdoor organinized festivities and fireworks displays, you can bring some home-made decorations to liven up the party. So, grab your glue-gun, don some saftey gloves, gather the children and start making some easy decorations for the Fourth of July celebrations!

Each place at the tables gets a red fork, white knife and blue spoon (or whichever variation you choose), a painted plastic cup, to look like fireworks, the Liberty Bell, the Statue of Liberty, or even the Declaration of Independence. Place mats can be made from construction paper and crayons, and each place can be a person, place or thing related to Independence Day, the Revolution, or the Declaration of Independence. Paper plates should not be painted, but they could be bought in the patriotic colours. Paper hats can be made from construction paper, paint, childrens' safety glue and sparkles, making each one different. Yes, you could even have the movie "Independence Day", with Will Smith, on the DVD player for the children to watch after supper, while the adults are cleaning up and getting ready to go to the fireworks displays.

For the rooms, window and door frames, you can thread red, white and blue ribbons together, placing bows of alternating red, white and
