I'm flying, I'm writing
Thoughts running through me
Shooting from my brain to the page
As I elevate
Elated as I soar
Above reality
I'm floating, I'm writing
Pen to paper
Above the clouds
Objects distort
As imagination lifts me
Alone with this page
I'm dying, not writing
Shackles restrict me
A straight-jacket contains my urge
Agony
It must erupt
My throat is tight
I'm breathing, I'm writing
I gasp
I find the perfect word
My heart punches my chest
Warmth, rejoice
I exhale, it's bliss
I'm flying, I'm writing
