west coast, has released a coveted signature line through WeSC - but if you've no intent to follow in his footsteps you can just pick up a street model. Prices range from $24.00 to $200.00 and the line can be purchased through karmaloop.com. Also through Karma Loop, check out Boosted's line of chunky headphones in fantastic vintage colors, like the Sashimi palette used in the Grande model. Just be prepared to tell everyone where you got them when they gawk at you on the train.
Go even further over the top with the Skull Candy line (skullcandy.com), where you can find the cartoon-like hesh model in white/pink or black. There's nothing refined about these - they're big fat cushioned ear phones with a leather head strap, in-line volume control, and the promise of "pump(ing) sound into your skull with an intensity found in no other headphone." If that's your gig, you'll be happy to know they're only $49.95.
Frustrated with all this flashy stuff? Satisfied with something sleek and simple? You might like the MX 560 model by Sennheiser, priced at about $30.00. They're earbuds that promise a powerful listening experience care of Sennheiser's "Basswind" system, and they come in a red, silver, or black.
With this kind of product diversity, you've got no excuse not to infuse some character into that headphone jack.
