I never had any diet secrets, until now. When I think about all the articles I have read and all the advice doled out amongst friends and colleagues. There were always strategies I believed in, but without actual results to attribute to those strategies, it was just talk. Now I have a secret that works and it has brought wonderful results for me. My secret is a website http://www.thedailyplate.com/.
"The Daily Plate" is an outstanding site that is well worth checking out. As you enter foods and physical activities, it tells you how many calories you have left for that day, based on your current weight and goals you designated.
Here are the reasons why this site has been my secret tool for losing twenty pounds, when previously, I could never find the consistency to be successful:
1) The Daily Plate enables me to personalize my approach to weight management. It has a quick look-up of just about any food I could eat.
2) I can quickly and simply calculate my own serving of any food, by doubling it, or dividing it any way I need to in order to be accurate for me.
3) As soon as you enter a food you ate, on your "plate," it not only gives you at total immediately, but there is a wonderful circle graph that adjusts to reflect your day's percentages of carbohydrates, proteins, and fat. Fabulous!
4)For foods that you eat regularly, there is an easy-access list over to the right and you quickly add that to your day's plate.
5) Exercise! Of course, that is important and, like the food look-ups, there is a quick look-up for exercise. As mentioned, the screen shows you how many calories you have left for the day. What fun it is to add in my walk, bike ride, or other activity, and see my allotment of calories go up due to that exercise! Just like foods typically eaten, you can quickly access your regular workout without having to look it up each time. This is huge!
6) Do you have a typical meal or favorite recipe? I do and I can set it up and select it in an instant.
7) Whether you use food listings pre-set, or you enter your own, you can see the totals in nutritional columns. Need to watch fiber? It's all right there.
8) The Daily Plate already has an unbelievable amount of brand name food products, restaurant items, and variations in flavors, sizes, servings, etc. So easy.
The goal-setting and accountability features of The Daily Plate are perfect for me. After all, that is what it's really all about: finding something that provides the means to live your life, have flexibility in food choices, seeing the nutrition visually, and seeing results.
