There is often a point where life becomes something of a nightmare. And in todays society each day can seem harder than the previous. A some point we as a nation decided to give control of our lives to to people who know nothing about them. We took religion out of our schools and accountabilty out of our vocabulary when it comes to the way we raise our children. People seem to find it easy to turn to the court system to solve even the simplest of problems. So where should you turn if the nightmare of life has started to haunt you daily. I say turn to your own inner strength, that is where true answers lye. I have raised my children for the past twelve years with little or no support from my exhusband. And when I say support I don't mean financial support although I don't get much of that either. Recently he decided to take me to court for full costody of our children because I decided to move two hours away from him. This man is a convicted felon, tried to commit suicide by shotting himself in the head( in front of me), is over five thousand dollars behind in child support, lets his parents take care of his children when he is supposed to have them, and is violent. So why is he even allowed to file court papers against me? It seems like a joke.
The thought of someone trying to take my boys away is a nightmare of enormous proportion. I've cried, i've yelled, i've laughed( a drug using felon is trying to take my kids), and i've searched for something to help me through. When I started to look around me I realized that the only thing that would get me through was the same thing that has gotten me through every difficult time in my life- ME! I am a strong woman with will enough for ten women.
I sat down and looked at myself in the mirror- "I am strong enough to handle this, I am strong enough to handle anything" that is my place to turn. My heart is strong, my soul is strong, and my faith is strong. And I know that at the end of each day I will have given it my all.
When life is hard and you feel like giving up just remember you are your own place to turn. You can find strength in your relationships with your family or friends but ultimately you are the only person who can make you happy. If you feel weak repeat to yourself that you are strong enough to handle anything. If you feel strong repeat to yourself that you are strong enough to handle anything. These simple words will become your safty net. Believing in yourself and your inner strength is the greatest gift you can give yourself and your loved ones. Also be sure to teach your children to believe in themselves and they will grow to be strong and happy as well.
