Within Snowmass Village you will find the second largest ski mountain in Colorado which offers close to over 40 miles of hiking, biking, skiing and snowboarding trails. Surrounded by a breathtaking scenic wilderness, Snowmass Village is located 10 miles from Aspen, nestled upon the Brush Creek Valley.
Experience a powder morning while enjoying a cup of freshly brewed joe from the local favorite hot spot, Fuel. If you are looking to stay at a quality resort on a budget, check out the Snowmass Mountain Chalet. This bed and breakfast style hotel is a true ski-in ski out lodge that offers access to visit all four of the Aspen Snowmass ski resort mountains.
Got a few extra pennies to spend? Located approximately 8 miles from Aspen you will find the luxurious Snowmass Club. This Rocky Mountain retreat features indoor and outdoor hot tubs, spa services and cross country ski trails. You can pamper yourself while enjoying the fresh mountain air or hop on a quad and take an adventurous go of the downhill slopes.
Once you have your lodging in place, it's time to decide your reason for vacationing in this winter wonderland. Are you here for a skiing adventure of a lifetime? If so, you definitely came to the right place. Snowmass contains a variety of pipes and jumps for the advanced and a few junior jumps for those looking to get their feet snow white. Snowmass also reatures three terrain parks-Little Makaha, Midway Intermediate and Pipeline, each park caters to riders of all abilities. While there, check out Pro Mountain Sports for a ski lesson or two or try out a beginner board before making your way towards the shredders.
You're probably pretty famished after all of that fun; head over to the Krabloonik Restaurant and Kennel. Located on the slopes of the Snowmass Ski Area, this one of a kind restaurant offers lunch in the winter and dinner year round, with drive-in or ski-in accessibility. Where else can you enjoy a complimentary 3-course lunch and then grab a 2 hour dogsled ride through the surrounding wilderness of the Snowmass/Aspen area?
Had enough adventure for the day? Stop by the Snowmass Village Mall and check out some Bright and Shiny Things or hop on a Hot Air Balloon and catch a glimpse of the local wildlife while sailing over the Elk Mountains.
For a little taste of Rocky Mountain heaven, stop by the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory located in the Snowmass Village Mall. This sweet-tooth mecca will prove to you that there really is something about chocolate. And they've got it. From boxed chocolates to fudge to truffles, whatever your heart desires, they can make it, bake it or find it. A word of caution: watch out for the Rocky Mountain Bears. Before you know it you might have one leaving the store with you. Tsk, tsk, tsk.
Whether there for a little adventure or pampering, Snowmass Village has just what you are looking for.
