Not Perfect
Adam and Eve messed up and we were declared, not perfect.
Cain killed Abel out of jealousy because he was not even close to perfect. (And rational....)
Ishmael picked on Isaac because he was not perfect.
Rebekah convinced Jacob to trick Isaac because she was not perfect.
Jacob stole Esau's inheiritance because he was far from perfect.
Moses went over the top because he was not perfect.
Samson told the secret of his strength because he was not perfect.
King Saul angered Samuel because he was not perfect.
David practically planned a man's death because he was really not perfect.
Solomon married many wives because he was no where near perfect.
Manasseh did evil in the eyes of God because he was not perfect.
Peter denied Christ because he was not perfect.
Judas betrayed Christ because he was so far from perfect that it wasn't even funny.
Saul/Paul persecuted Christians because he was so not perfect.
I wrote this poem because I'm so far from perfect it scares me.
But do you know what me and these people have in common?
It's been said about a million times in here.
We are not perfect and we will never be perfect.
This includes you.
Yes, the person reading this poem.
But do you know what else we have in common?
We have been blessed by God's Mercy, his Grace, and then some.
And because we're not perfect, God loves us even more.
And he understands us.
He understands us way better than we understand ourselves.
So the next time you mess up,
Or the next time you feel crappy,
And you feel like eating yourself alive,
Don't.
Remember that you're NOT PERFECT and you will make mistakes.
People will also hurt you,
People will also despise you,
People will also envy you,
And people will also let you down.
But they ain't perfect either.
That is what makes us human.

God gave us colours in our daily routine,
That clear blue sky and the fields of green,

I gave you beauty and you have made ugly.
I gave you charge and you have mislead.
I gave you peace and you have made war.
The cause of all causes
I cradle life; I harvest death
My phantasmal fingers can implant a fetus with the glow of a new

Remember I Am near
When you feel weak
Remember I care
When you're all alone
Remember I Am here

When the wind blows gently on your face
It is my breath you inhale to live
As moments of need emerge for
