Testimonies: Scary hospital stories

Dear Readers,
I am going to share with you all, the hospital horror story I am living through right now as I write this. I can not stress emphatically enough, to all of you, to please, please, make sure someone capable is with your loved one, if God forbid they ever find themselves in a hospital. I implore you, to make sure someone is there at all times to make sure they are being taken care of. If it is totally impossible for someone to be there at all times, please make sure someone can drop in randomly, just to see what is happening, and how your loved one is doing throughout the day. I beg you, to make sure, at the very FIRST sign of anything wrong, to speak up. Go to the head of nursing, go to the doctor himself, go to the CEO of the hospital if you have to. I just plead with you to do something, ANYTHING, you have to, before it's too late. Please, people, if you THINK something is wrong, it IS wrong. Believe me, just because they are the "doctors" and "registered nurses" ......... YOU are the ones that KNOW your loved one.

Let me give you just a little background on what I am about to share with you here. This article is about my fiancee. He is a paraplegic, paralyzed in a car accident, years before I met him. He does have alot of medical problems, mainly kidney infections and pressure sores. He has been hospitalized uncountless times, in the 6 years I have been with him. A couple years ago, he contracted an infection, that went from the blood to the bone. He has been fighting it off and on ever since. This last round of hospitalizations have taken place over the last 6 months, and these are the ones I want to share with you. One other thing I want to tell you is, I actually work at this hospital I am about to tell you about. Granted, this hospital has been known, for as long as I can remember, as nothing but a band-aid factory, but really that isn't the point.

Last Monday, the visiting nurse came to change the dressing on the pressure sores he has been plagued with for the last couple of years, that we just can't seem to get healed. The sores are finally starting to get better, since we FINALLY found a doctor that seems to know what he is doing. My fiancee's blood pressure over the last week has bottomed out, which is very unusual, since he has high blood pressure normally. She thought he needed to go to the hospital. I wanted him taken to the hospital 30 miles away, since he has NEVER had any trouble there. It is a wonderful hospital,
