Poetry: Pain

by Casey Puckett

Created on: June 20, 2008

I've turned it over again and again in my mind,
Unsure of why or how you could leave us like that,
Didn't you realize we still need you,
I did everything I could to show you that,
In the end,
Was it enough,
That's somthing I cannot answer,
My heart aches knowing you're gone,
I try and try,
But I can't hide the pain of losing you,
Not now,
Not ever,
I loved you,
I still do,
My mind just keeps racing,
Would you be proud of me,
Although life has taken some crazy turns,
And you're no longer around,
I promise to keep fighting,
For you,
For the people I love,
And for myself.
