Do you see your answer in any of those Directions?
I stare out into the horizon and think about how much has been done in my life.
Questions Asked....To many
Answers Received to Little
Tears Cried to many to even count
Smiles broken to little to even think about
Sad songs Written and Sung, it makes me cry at the thought
Happy songs danced to, not even enough
I wonder what gets me through these sad days and lonely nights as I sit here on this park bench under the streetlight as if it were a spotlight on a lonely stage casting my long, dark shadow.
My breath echoes across the seats
O God I can feel the tears running down my cheeks!
As I cry my tears I hear a voice whisper in my ear and it said, "look up out of your sadness child!"
Out of desperation and fear I look up and see a light shining bright and warm
Was it a sign from the almighty himself or was I going crazy?!
But something happened that night that hadn't happened in a long time......
I felt happiness.
