A star upon the rolling waves
Too dim of late to hold its place
Devoid of laughter, light and grace
The world is now a field of graves.
A heart entombed within the walls
Of lifeless bone and cruel stone
No one or thing has it seen blown
Across the field of graves to him.
Heed not the dreamy midnight calls
Nor dark and deep mist-laden waves
Though bright may be the palace walls
The world is yet a field of graves.
A man of stone has caught the star
A thing too beauteous for him
That caging of the star is sin
And if tis kept, him it will mar.
So I must search to find the star
And then I will the captive save
But how can I, a hostage heart
Set free the star from in its grave?

Trying to make me history.
He chases me down
Fleeting, flying
Racing onward never a change

minutes to
hours to
days following nights without end

years,
