What a UFO is:
It is simply an unidentified flying object. An object you don't recognise. They definitely exist. Nobody can disprove that. And when I speak about unidentified flying objects, I don't mean an alien craft. As for alien craft, it's certainly possible but I would never side with one view or the other regarding whether aliens visit us or not.
Why UFOs exist (non-alien craft):
Every day new technology is being researched and especially by the US. It stands to reason the government would fly experimental craft on test runs. They have to test new creations somehow. This also explains why a vast majority of the sightings are at night.
With night acting as cover, there's less chance of people seeing the new craft. All people tend to see are lights and that makes them think: aliens.
Also, with the USA getting closer with each passing day to sending people into space to land on Mars and perhaps other planets, they certainly want to test whatever they build. They also probably use the technology they're using to power spacecrafts and rockets, to create better aircraft for the military. I mean, how long has the stealth bomber been around and how advanced is that compared to other aircraft?
I imagine that when the stealth bomber was being tested, it caused quite a bit of speculation on UFOs as well.
Alien life exists out there, somewhere:
I definitely believe there's life on other planets out there in the vastness of space. There are literally billions, even trillions of planets existing outside our own galaxy, which is by no means small. You would have to be pretty narrow-minded to think life only exists on our planet. But I will give the doubters this: there is little to no chance of finding advanced life in our solar system (basic life forms remain a possibility however).
But still: if there is advanced life out there away from our planet, there is still a chance of visitation regardless of how slim that chance is.
Why aliens probably don't visit our planet:
For us to travel to Mars, it takes a long time. Now imagine how long it would take for aliens outside our solar system to get a spacecraft to Earth. A long time. Granted, their technology would be better and thus, the amount of time required to traverse space would be less than we'd need over a set distance.
But again, would they really visit us when we are so far away? Especially considering they would be far more advanced than we are.
So I consider UFOs that people see to be non-alien.
As for the possibility of aliens visiting us:
I will never rule it out. But I will never say aliens definitely visit us either. At least until there is proof. I also don't know what to make of abductions.
There is one thing I will say regarding sightings of supposed alien craft though. Some cases are interesting to say the least and very odd. I've seen quite a few documentaries on them and each time, I do wonder about them.
But again to sum everything up, I believe it's best to treat sightings as though you've seen an experimental craft. It is always the most likely explanation and we all know new aircraft are tested all the time, which normally fall under the tag of UFO.
