"Racism is taught in our society, it is not automatic. It is learned behavior toward persons with dissimilar physical characteristics." - Alex Haley, author of "Roots".

Taught or learned is 2 sides of the same coin. However, if you look at children perhaps under the age of 4 then you'll find your answer. Racism can only be taught, much like anything else.

Racism is a cancer on the body of society. Racism is passed from generation to generation. Kids will often wonder what that white sheet and dunce cap in the closet are for and they are likely to be given an answer. I'm willing to bet that the explanation will have nothing to do with good housekeeping and clean bedsheets.

If you're ever seen white supremacists rallies of any sort then you know that they will often bring their poor children with them for all the festivities. Now I have also heard of some of these race hating morons refer to their women as breeders for the white race. So that they can bring even more kids into the world to learn to hate, but it is real nice that they refer to their women as breeders. There is something else that they can teach their children, how to treat women.

So many of these degenerates learn their vile traits from their parents who, in turn, learned it from their parents. The sad thing is that this is a form of child abuse that will not be prosecuted. Maybe it is time to prosecute these idiots.

Of course, the children are not to blame even if they should make disgusting comments in public. They only know what their parents have shown them and they adore their parents, as they should at young ages. It must be odd however for the kids when they get older and find that they are in a society that rejects their parents ideals.

Education is they key to changing many unwanted ideas like racism. Unfortunately, it's difficult to change the thoughts of an adult and it's hard to help children at risk because society can not remove the child from their parents because the parent is a racist. Society can remove a child for other abusive reasons but not racism, that is sad.

The most unfortunate thing is that racism will never completely disappear. If you think racism is a dying art then you are obviously not a person of color. Racism occurs everyday in every city, town and mole hill.

The police are riddled with the cancer called racism. Racial profiling is a huge issue still and, again, if you don't think so then you are not a person of color. Racism is taught to kids whose minds are like blank slates, they are ready to absorb anything that their parental units wish to toss their way. They love and trust their parents to teach them what is best.

That is another sad thing, kids not only want to learn but they have to learn, it evolutionary. Kids just have to learn it's the way they are built and their parents take advantage of that for both good and ill.
