The scarist moment as a parent.
We all know that being a parent is scarey. To pick the scariest moment would be rather difficult to do. There are so many things to be scared about while raising children. When your children are babies you are scared that something will happen to them while you are sleeping. The parenting books and magazines that you have read run through your mind and you check your baby every five minutes because you can't get SID's out of your mind. You wonder if your making the right choices with your new little one and your scared that you may mess up.
When your baby becomes a toddler, he becomes fearless. Walking around trying out his new ablities. Getting into everything. Your scared when he starts running. Your heart skips a few beats as he stumbles and falls. Then he lets out a peircing scream that sends chills up your spine. A bump is forming on his forehead. You call everyone you know and rush him off to the emergency room for his first ER trip. The first trip to the ER is always one of he scariest. You feel so bad for your little bundle of joy and you cry with him.
When your toddler becomes a child it is time to start school. Sending them into the world without you. They get on the bus and go off to school to start learning and preparing for life. Thats when you realize your baby is starting to grow up. He is becoming an individual. Through the next few years you help them learn, you are with them through their first victory's.
When you child hits his tween years you realize he's about to go through more changes. You try to educate your child and hope he makes the right descions. Kids are very impressionable. You worry about you child gettiing into drugs, smoking cigarettes, drinkng, and having sex. You hope and pray your child stays away from the wrong crowd. You hope he listens to your words of wisdom that you share with him.
Its time to get a drivers liscense. You start worrying about receiving the dreaded phone call in the middle of the night. Your child is getting more freedom and growing up, there is nothing you can do about it. Again, you hope and pray he's safe. You watch the clock as his curfew draws near. You pace the floors hoping he comes home. When he does, relief floods over you.
High school graduation means sending your child out into the world. Its time for college. It's time to let him spread his wings and fly. You watch the ceramony wondering if he will make time to call when he goes off to his new life. You wonder if
