Poetry: Panic

by Lostash

Created on: June 19, 2008

I've examined my life on some paper,
To be honest, it's not looking good,
Bills need paying, no food in the fridge,
I feel the draining of my blood.

Lost my job on this Monday,
No income to pay all these debts,
If I was a gambler, the casino would call,
And grant me some free Roulette bets.

I sit and stare out the window,
At everyone else in the street,
Does anyone care about me?
As I listen to ignorant feet.

Drastic measures are needed,
My home will be first there's no doubt,
The rent goes unpaid for another month,
It won't be long 'til I'm out.

I need a new job, priority 1,
There must be something out there?
The hustle and bustle of everyone else,
Is not helping me to prepare.

As I pack my life into boxes,
Discarding memories like yesterdays news,
You realise that all you had,
Is a trail of useless clues.
