An excerpt from my teen novel series "The Alphas":

"Wait, wait. So she thinks we..." Brittany waved her finger around at all of us. "...don't like her cuz we're prejudiced?"

I nodded and took another sip of my diet Cherry Coke to keep from laughing.

Heather bit her lip and looked down at her salad, but Brianne just started sneering. Before long, we were all doubled over again in the food court with everyone staring at us like we just yelled a loud curse word. I wiped a laugh-tear from my eye.

"Now that is too funny." Brittany commented after we were done laughing. She pulled out her Blackberry and saved the whole line. "I'll save that so I can read it again when I need a good laugh." She said.

Finally, things cooled down and I resorted to staring at the girls eat while I took miniature sips of my soda.

"Honey, are you sure you're not hungry?" Heather asked, putting down her fork. "You're making me look like a pig."

She put her fork down again. "Oh, yeah. It turned out I was just a little late with my period, after all. I'm not going to tell Shawn, though. If I hold off, I think I could get him to marry me right after Graduation. You think maybe-"

Naturally, I was pissed. She couldn't hold Shawn down like that! She was going to trick him into marrying her! How low and pathetic could you get? I had to do something about it. Soon.

Brittany cut her off. "Guys, come on! I'm ready to go SHOPPING." She got up and we followed her into Dior.

I hid my bags in my closet and called Ordri. It'd been a while since we had ever communicated.

"How's the mission going?" Ordri asked.

"Shiayn called a quits. She just randomly told me she wanted out. Omigod! And guess why." I told her, my voice already beginning to crack with hysterics.

"Ok... why...?"

"She said because they're...PREJUDICED!" I bit my lip, anticipating her to break into maniacal laughter, but her response surprised me.

"Who knows, they probably
