As I turn around to see
The bloody tears beneath your eyes
I wonder if it's ever
Just too late to cry
I walked away
From something beautiful
I hear the rain around me
Reminding me that life is cruel
You beg and plead
For my heavenly return
Your heart is still near mine
Heartbreak is something to learn
I want to disappear
Against all the odds
Just me, myself,
My faith, and God
I want her so bad at times
She tore me up inside
She left razor blades in my veins
Lying is her damned crime
Everyone in my life
Shut me out and left me dry
Like a ghost on a freight train
Left and hung me out to cry
And it's too late now
To turn back the hands of time
Hardened heart in my soul
That's my curse, that's my crime
I started my life
With the reddest of fires, it's true
Now that I've got broken wings
The flame chilled to a painful blue
