Telling me things in whispers at night.
Shaving cream in the sink at morning light.
I miss you and sleep in your favorite shirt.
You wake me up to call me a flirt.
Your eyes they cry, they laugh, they sing.
Your love is more than a wedding ring
Your kisses, your hugs, your gentle ways.
Walks in the park, lazy days.
You work too hard.
You need new socks.
Your coat is old,
a pair of gloves get lost.
You carry a thousand secrets of sacrifice.
You meant the vows you gave your wife.
I count the years of promises kept.
I thank the Lord for this gift unwrapped.
A Winter song
An Autumn dream
A Summer hope
A life giving Spring
The way you love me I testify,
are the sweetest memories
adorning my life.
