Poetry: We will meet again

by James Jester

Created on: June 18, 2008   Last Updated: May 19, 2009

I died today, my life is gone
You cried today, but nothings wrong

I cried too, but your still here
In this world you'll live another year

Isn't that sad, I think so
This world is cruel; this I know

I look down on you with sad eyes
I don't understand why you cry

I may be gone, but I'm happy you see
Heaven is a better place for me

So dry your eyes, move one now
I know you can, I'll tell you how

Live a good life, do what's right
Never turn away from God's guiding light

If ever into the darkness you veer
I'll help you out, I'll always be here

I died today, no more suffering or strife
We'll meet again, in a better life
