You brought the silver lining to my cloudy days,
Ever armed with that wide smile and constant praise.
You provided strength when there was none to be had,
Always lending support in situations good and bad.
From birth, you gently grasped my hand,
And never let go until I became a man.
You worked to mold me into one strong and true,
To take on life with unwavering virtue.
No matter the situation, you always put me first,
Sacrificing anything so I would never thirst.
You would cast the soul piercing eye upon all my potential mates,
Always making sure they worthy of more dates.
Now, your last words always echo in my mind,
As I hold back the tears, breath I can't find.
As the delicacy of life has torn us apart,
You too grandma, I love with all of my heart.

Around Thanksgiving time
There was more food in that one place
Than I have room to rhyme!
