Poetry: Everlasting embrace

My heart is breaking
All I do is cry
You say you don't love me
Yet on you stay
What makes it so hard to walk away.
Your in my life a day or two
Yet I just can't seem to satisfy you.
Hard as I try You criticize, when I want to love you
I am pushed away.
When I ask why you just walk away.
Nineteen years I've stood by your side
Thru trials and triumphs, downs and ups.
I've seen the angel and the devil in you.

You seem to know all my flaws.
I know yours too,
I accept them all cause they are a part of who you are.
I've loved fat as well as thin
A head full of hair or only your skin
A fuse as short as dynamite, a smile so bright it lights up the night.
A sense of humor, a romantic fool.
I think of these when I see you.
I often wonder what you see when you feast your eyes upon me?
If you don't love me, let me go
Give me peace and free my soul.
Someone will want me for myself
My flaws won't matter so much you'll see
Someone will love me just for me
No woman will love you as I have
but go ahead and take that chance
Then maybe you'll see
what a prize you had when you had me
I hope that when you realize
It's not too late for you and me.
No matter what you will always be
a great big part of me
I won't beg you to live life with me, especially so full of misery.
I see the clouds that darken your eyes
so walk away with your head held high.
I know that I will undoubtedly cry, but in the end I will survive
I know me and I will put up a fight
The sun will shine again for me
Just step aside and watch and you'll see
I will always be your one true friend,
now until the cold inevitable end.
