Reflections: Healing after the death of a parent

Hi my name is keith young and i know what you are going through with the process of dealing with the loss of a loved one.Im gonna try to help you and im gonna give you my story on one of my parents dying. Trust me its hard at first but as time goes on you will learn and you will be fine and your day to day life may not feel the same as it used to but as time goes on it will all go back to normal. everything im about to tell you is 100% real and i hope you or anyone else in this world never has to go through what i had to go through.
Thank you.

I was 12 years old im almost 16 now. I was staying the night with my dad because my mom and dad were taking a break. he lived in yelm washington in a two bedroom apartment and my sister and her husband were arguing so my dad being the nice man that he was let my sister move in. Her things were in one room and she stayed the night at her in-laws place 15 minutes down the road,so my dad and i were sharing a bed. when we went to bed everything was o.k.but about four in the morning a herd something gasping fo air i looked over and it was my dad trying to breath. I ran out to get him some water but when i got back and tryed to give it to him he dident take it i couldent tell if he was awake or not i knew he was having an heart attack because this was his third one.

I had to run out into the living room to get the phone and i had to look on a piece of mail to give the adress to 911. Then on the phone the lady told me what i had to do and i had to pull my dad off the bed onto the floor when i was 12 and i had to do this with out hurting him. Then the lady told me how to preform c.p.r,and i had to give my dad c.p.r. untill the paramedics got there 15 minutes later. Then they gave him c.p.r. and he was breathing for a couple minutes then he ended up dying at 5:30 in the morning on november 14,2004 he was very young he was only 49 years old and it was not his time to go.

Now that you heard my story and i hope its helping you so far its my time to help you.
Im gonna tell you some thing that i did and things that i dont want you to do and i will tell you now that isolating yourself from others is not good because that is what i did and it may feel good at the time but in the long run its not. Afrer your parent died you may become depressed and realy down and you may have some suicidal thoughts and i dont want you to get to that point. If you do i want you to change the subject that you are thinking about
