There are dozens of private enterprises and corporations that are currently developing various kinds of green friendly technology. Most of that technology is designed to reduce Mankind's use and dependence on the burning of fossil fuels that are currently used for the production of energy to power our modes of transportation and to generate electricity that we require to run the electrical appliances within our homes and businesses.
Sooner or later the supplies of those fossil fuels will be used by Mankind and without an alternate means to produce energy Mankind will have to do without all of those marvelous inventions that make our life and our way of living what it is today. It is entirely possible that the effects of global warming might also destroy our environment and kill millions of people before we do use all of our natural fossil fuel resources.
Either way, Mankind is heading for big trouble in the future if we fail to reduce the quantity of greenhouse gases that enter our atmosphere each and every second of each and every day. Toward that goal we now see more efficient and "Green Friendly" solar cells in use for the purpose of creating electricity.
Huge new and improved windmill generators are being built and used where steady winds provide enough wind energy to create electricity. The people of Europe are building those machines faster than I can write this story so there must be some truly positive benefits for doing so.
The radiation from our Sun can and is used for the purpose heating water in what we know as solar energy hot water systems. Water is pumped through pipes that go to heat collector panels on the roof. The water is heated to the boiling point as it travels through the system and enters the hot water tank. The saving can be more than $50.00 each month in electric utility costs but the system does cost a few thousand dollars to purchase and install in your home. An automatic timer controls the flow of water during the times when no sunlight is available to heat the water.
Clearly, we should also take maximum advantage of the rivers within our Country that can, in turn, provide enough energy from the flowing water to power electric generators, rather than burn coal or oil to do the same job.
Last but not least, one auto maker is already making and selling fuel cell powered modes of transportation. Fuel cells use hydrogen, together with the oxygen in our atmosphere to produce electricity. The byproduct of the process produces nothing but water. In the future, hydrogen gas stations will be as common as petroleum gas stations are today. It's no wonder why those huge multinational oil companies want to make as much money as they can within the shortest time possible.
As time passes, those above methods of energy creation will become more efficient at what they do best and because most of that technology lasts longer than the current technology available, the future generations of Mankind will have a cheaper and also a green friendly source for all of its energy requirements.
