With ten varieties of tasty hops that are hand picked, and batches of brew that are tasted up to five times (by what's called a Brewmaster, which has got to be one great job), Budweiser boasts the most famous beer brand in the US. Dubbed 'The Great American Lager', and more popularly 'The King of Beers', Bud products are definitely considered best sellers. Anheuser-Busch has been one of the biggest selling beer companies since it's inception in the late 1850's. It is the all American beer, born and brewed in the US, or St. Louis to be exact, yet it outsells many brands overseas as well. Need proof? Take a look at what bottles dominate your local bar-any bar for that matter-and you will see more Bud Light bottles than anything else. In fact, you may just be one of the consumers of that same long neck bottle. The reasons are simple, the beer is tasty, packs enough punch to do it's job at inebriating the drinker, it doesn't break the bank, it's offered everywhere, and it is considered a classic.
We wait patiently each year, as the fall fades away, allowing winter to creep in. From our television screens we will hear the bells, then will be privy to the great Budweiser Clydesdales, which have become an American tradition. Pulled by these powerful beasts is a sleigh (or in some cases a carriage) covered with the Budweiser logo, filled with the tasty beverage. Budweiser has two brands in the top ten best selling beers alone, with Bud Light ranking first, and the original Budweiser ranked second. Of the many Anheuser-Busch products, the following belong in the Bud division;
~Budweiser
~Bud Light
~Budweiser Select
~Bud Dry
~Bud Ice
~Bud Ice Light
~Bud Light Lime
Budweiser is everywhere. It's served in every bar, restaurant, it is abound at every party, and it is found in coolers all over the globe. It is a classic beer, plain and simple. If Bud hadn't already cornered the beer market, the name exploded across the country when in 2000, they became the sponsor for Dale Earnhardt Junior number eight NASCAR Chevy. Up until last year, Budweiser and Dale Jr made history in the popularity department.
Budweiser has sold over 100 million barrels of beer, and in the year 2002 handed the company reins over to the sixth generation Busch. With solid advertisements such as the adorable little swamp frogs croaking "Bud", "Weis", and "Er", Budweiser had solidified it's name in many beer markets. In addition, it is sold in countries other than it's native one, including the UK, Finland, and Italy, among others.
Though Budweiser is not my personal favorite beer, by far, it seems to be that of the majority of people. It is often the sponsoring beer at sporting and concert venues, and is highly involved in the Superbowl advertising each year. the Budweiser company operates 12 breweries in the US, five of which hold tours, and 15 International locations.
