Almost every teenage boy is virtually the same. They all want expensive things, that look nice. They appreciate things with higher value so they can show off and compare to their friends.
The typical Jock (sports fanatic) would appreciate a gift that looks expensive but might not be in reality. A Nintendo DS would be great for a jock, the starting price for a Nintendo DS is around $130.00. A sports boy would appreciate any sports game for any system. Ranging from NBA Live to Tiger Woods golf. Most games for every system run about $50 a pop all by themselves. A teen boy into sports would love a new jersey from their favorite basketball team, or a new pair of Jordans to show off to his friends. A new pair of Jordans will run about $100 to $200 depending on the pair and release date, and a nice jersey doesn't come cheap either. A replica jersey can run anywhere from $40 to $150 depending on the year and player.
There's always one pretty boy in every group. The one who appreciates nice jeans over a nice jersey. Basically a stereotypical "preppy" kid. Now when shopping for him, keep brand names in mind, Abercrombie, American Eagle, Ralph Lauren ,Etc. A pair of jeans and a shirt from Abercrombie will cost about the equivalent of a Nintendo DS. Their jeans are $85 dollars on average and their shirts are about $35 on average. Now to go with that outfit every pretty boy loves to smell good, so cologne is always a good choice. Abercrombie, along with American Eagle and Gap, have their own cologne that ranges from $35 to $50 dollars a bottle.
Last but certainly not least there's the computer nerd. You know who I'm talking about, the kid that stays in his room all day chatting via headset while playing Lord of The Rings. A good gift for a teenage boy like this is anything for computers. Computer attachments are great, whether it be a new headset or new speakers. Speaker systems start out at $25 for the basics, and can run anywhere to $200 dollars for a surround sound set. A good headset starts at about $40 but hey go one step further and buy that cordless one for about $70 to $90 depending on brand.Computer software is also a great gift, the games range from interactive battle games to your favorite television game show, the prices range from $15-$100.
Every teenage has something in common, so look for that gift that will give him the limelight in front of his friends, even if it's just for one moment.
